Clinton's Outraged... No, Really?

Former president William J. Clinton appeared on Fox News on Sunday.  Apparently, some viewer out in TV-land had the unmitigated audacity to submit a question via email that asked if Mr. Clinton might have been able to do more in his pursuit of Bin Laden and his associates.  Go here for the full details:

CHIPMONK'S BRIEF ANALYSIS:  Um, Mr. President, you're angry that someone might think you didn't do enough?  And what exactly did you do in 1993 and 1996 and 1998 and 2000 when attacks were taking place against the US and US interests by Islamic radicals?  Oh, you brought it up as a law enforcement matter? Oh, and you lobbed a few Tomahawks at an aspirin factory (what a headache...) I can now see why you stated that you did much more in your time in office than the Bush Administration did in their first eight months.  Oh wait, you had eight "years"...  Eight years? To me that seems like about twelve times the amount of time, and you accomplished exactly what?

CHIPMONK'S GUT FEELING ABOUT RAMIFICATIONS OF THIS STORY:  The left-wing blogosphere will go nuts, thinking this was greatest thing since Hanoi Jane. Clinton standing up to the right-wing wackos (check the Daily Kos for verification).  Woo hoo! But the GOP will have the last laugh because Clinton looked out of control and surprisingly undignified in this exchange.  And I don't know about anyone else, but I haven't thought of Wallace as being particulary conservative, let alone a mouthpiece for the right.  This outburst will undermine his efforts to perpetuate the myth of how great Clinton made everything during his run as president.  Now will it keep him from becoming the next U.N. Secretary General?  That's the real question isn't it?
